Nepal SBI Bank Ltd. extends a sincere contribution in ongoing relief
effort to contain diarrhea epidemic that took life of more
than hundred and affected thousands in Jajarkot and its neighboring districts in the Mid Western Region. The
aid would be utilized to purchase medication and help paramedics to bring the epidemic under control. Bank has
been providing assistance to disaster control operations and social affairs as part of its Corporate Social
Responsibility Initiatives in the past too
Celebration of World Population Day

On the occasion of World Population Day 2009, we successfully
organized Walkathon, Exhibition and Blood Donation Program on 2009-07-11.Walkathon
that started from Babarmahal at the morning witnessed overwhelming participation
of above 700 participants. Walkathon was routed through Thapathali,
Kupondol and Pulchowk to reach at Jawalakhel Ground with three winners
who bagged cash prize . With view of spreading WPD's message to every
corner possible, a T-shirt with the slogan “Educate Girls-End
Poverty” was distributed to all participants for free.On the venue,
Jawalkhel Ground, 16 stalls of various social organizations like UNIFEM,
UNICEF, TEWA, Maiti Nepal etc. were arranged. All of these organizations
working on women issues like Empowerment, Entrepreneurship, Domestic
Violence against women, Women Trafficking etc displayed their services
and product and distributed awareness materials and pamphlets.
On the occasion, we also organized a blood donation program in technical
cooperation with Nepal Red Cross Society. About 60 blood donors participated
including staff members of Nepal SBI Bank Limited.

Nepal SBI Bank Scholarship Distribution Ceremony
7th July,2009
On the Occasion of 16th anniversary, we provided cash support to
10 students from Nandi Madyamik Vidyalaya, Naxal for their their
meritorious performance in SLC Examination 2065.
Support to the students will assist them in pursuing next level
of studies. Mr. Bala Krishna Shrestha, Chairman of the Bank's Board
handed over the cheques and Letter of Appreciation to students amidst
a function held at the school's premises today in the presence of
Managing Director, N.K. Chari.
